My wife and I disagree on this one. I think it should be two stars based on value and a reasonably decent location. My wife thinks it should be called the Bates Motel.
We arrived in a rainstorm late on a Monday night. The bar was no longer serving but had a couple of regulars finishing their drinks. Noisily.
Our room was upstairs on an inside corner location. Very last room on that section. Coulda been an axe murderer hiding in the dimly lit stairwell. The security gate was propped open with a brick that would have come in handy for self defense. Unless the attacker had a gun or a knife. We were the only car parked in the lot on that side of the building and I worried all night that I should have paid $10 for the insurance in case it was stolen or vandalized.
As for the room. Well worn. As in out. We were afraid of bringing bugs home so we left everything in our closed suitcase on top of the dresser.
We spent the one uncomfortable night here and then got a room at the Marriott. Much better choice.
