| - We have come here several times in past years and had enjoyable dining experiences. It's been a few months since the last visit, though, and there sure have been changes. New menus, new prices (which are significantly higher), and some old favorites are no longer available - in particular the 1893 Salad. The veal parmesan was tough, chewy, almost rubbery - and expensive. Standard salad and cheese bread were fine.
Dinner for two of us, with small salad, small entree, small pasta, bread, no drinks, was nearly $80, before tip.
And, the restaurant is showing quite a bit of wear and tear. The ceiling in the room where we were seated had a gaping hole in it. Benches were lumpy.
Overall a big disappointment. We aren't very excited about coming back.
