  • Ok, so when the guys at the Westin, the Uber driver, AND the guys at the guitar store all agree a place is good you can generally take it to the bank. I was not disappointed. I didn't have a reservation but just walked up at 6pm on Sat night which is risky but the host was very gracious to offer a spot at the bar where I could stash my bulky guitar case from my unexpected purchase (it happens) and still keep an eye on it. Sat next to a guy who was from upstate NC who come to Midwood every time he's in town and he recommended the 1/2 chicken with SC mustard sauce. I got the fries and coleslaw as sides and it came with a generous portion of hush puppies. Very tasty! Fries crisp and coleslaw had the delicious tang of North Carolina. The bartender was very attentive. I got a good chance to just look around and enjoy the atmosphere being there by myself and I saw a lot of good times, good service and good food. Folks, this is a can't miss place if you are looking for good barbeque. I will be back!
