Even though I don't speak French the bartender was really nice to me which is a rarity in Montreal (at least in my experience). I ordered a glass of Zinfandel which was very good. Normally I don't go for Zin but it was really fruity and hit the spot.
The menu is in French but despite my poor verbal skills, I am literate. lol. I ended up ordering the French onion soup as well as the salmon tartare dinner with salad. The soup came out first like an appetizer. It was quite delicious. The broth was full of onions and minced garlic but not too salty. Sometimes soups can tend to be salty but this was just perfect.
The salmon tartare dinner was served with toasted baguette chips and then the salad. I don't know what dressing was on that salad or if I was just so hungry but it was really good. Light and refreshing. The salmon tartare was also delicious, with pine nuts, avocado, and green onions. Overall, really great dining experience. I would definitely eat here in the future.
