  • Went to check this new place, next to Amsterdam Bar downtown. It's only been open a few months and being in downtown Phoenix during a week night rarely leads to a full house, this place was all but empty. That being said, we went in was greeted by a friendly waiter, (didn't catch his name) who offered to seat us anywhere we wanted. Bar looked cool with the giant pink elephant head hanging over the bar and huge disco ball, but music was a little too dance/rave for my taste...but I'm old Lol. Ordered the Pear and goat cheese salad, it was pretty darn tasty. Fresh greens, candied walnuts, fresh pear slices with dried cherries and cranberries with a slightly sweet vinaigrette...then onto the crab and artichoke pizza, decent size, plenty of toppings, crust was really good, however the crab was a bit fishy and the artichokes kinda blah, nothing to write home about, but eatable.. Ordered the lemon cake, they were out of it :(... Settled for the chocolate flour less cake.. Got it to go... Might try it again if in the area, would try an different pizza and def the bar next time. Prices pretty good. But no special trips planned.
