I went to this flower shop on the recommendation of a friend and was very disappointed with the service. I walked in and the woman on the register was on the phone. After a few moments I was acknowledged by another woman (she saw me when I walked in but said nothing). Needless to say, I did not feel welcomed.
The woman asked what she could help me with and I told her I was looking for a sympathy arrangement. She asked "when is the service" and I told her it was last week. Mind you, the occasion was for a loss and there was no sympathy or any type of emotion from her side. She gave me a weird look and I said "I would like to get an arrangement to take with me to work to give to my coworker who lost someone". She told me they had pre made flowers that I could look at and walked over to the section with 4 arrangements. She then said "we don't have much as we just opened. How much did you want to spend?" I told her the amount.
I also told her I wanted something to help brighten my coworkers/friends day and she said "I don't know what you're looking for". I said "ok, thank you" and left.
I then drove to Smiths and the woman in the floral department welcomed me with a "good morning" and a genuine smile. She asked if she could help me find something. I felt more valued by an employee of Smiths and will continue to purchase my flowers from them.
Too bad as this place is literally right by my house but they will not get my business.
