Another Vegas gem in an unassuming strip mall. What make's it more confusing is "NaNa" is prominently featured on the outside sign.
This place hasn't been getting too much Yelp love lately, but it really is one of my favorite Vegas niche spots. It's very peaceful inside and I like their music choices (especially the Japanese instrumental songs which I've found myself trying to Shazam). I've never had soba before, so even though I read other people's reviews, I was still a bit confused the first time I went here, e.g. "What do you mean I dip the noodles in the broth!?!? And what is this about drinking the hot water the soba is cooked in?!" I did grow to love it though. The tempura here is done very well, never oily and goes really well with their tempura sauce. The eggplant miso dish is an appetizer I always try to get. The Yuzu limeade is perfectly tart and lip-smackingly enjoyable - it's always something I have to savor when I eat her. My husband is always changing up his order and checking out the evening specials, but I prefer getting the cold soba noodles, there's just something about the dish that makes me feel clean, balanced, and satisfied, especially during those hot Vegas days.
