I'm not sure what it is about the air in Phoenix, but we have had singularly horrible luck with contractors of every stripe, from plumbing to installing counters and now, to fixing appliances.
We had a broken microwave door. A one-year-old Samsung that needed a repair and was out of warranty. I was given two numbers to call for repairs, and one of them was Authorized Appliance Repair.
To give Authorized Appliance Repair credit, I actually spoke with a real person, who SAID that the owner was on the road and that I would get a call back once he(she?) returned to the office that afternoon.
Glad I wasn't holding my breath. That was back on May 6. After a couple of days we got tired of waiting and my husband tinkered around and fixed it, thus saving us at least $75, which I would gladly have paid to get it done.
Oh well. Guess I'll have to learn a few more tricks, because businesses out here seem to have no idea what customer service comprises.
