| - So I'm a BIG fan of Lenny Boy, and part of that is because of the Run Club and the community that it provides. It hasn't blown up quite yet like the other brewery programs, and it's maintained the sense of camaraderie every week. Lenny Boy also has my favorite brown in Charlotte (Burn Down) and the fact that they offer kombucha is a stellar alternative when you just feel like you've had too much to drink already. Which happens pretty rarely, but whatever.
Pro-tip; they'll do kombucha infused water for you. A glass of water with a spritz of whatever booch you want, and it makes for this awesome light flavor of herbs, vegetables, or floral notes. Whatever you're feeling that day. Take that, Dasani.
Anyways, their new location is beautiful. It's spacious, open, but still retains the feeling of the old space. They've gained the ability to brew more, and offer more activities. If you step in you can see unique games (jumbo sized connect four, stump tic-tac-toe, mancala) and their proud memorabilia (cabinets, newspaper clippings, awards, stemware) everywhere. You can see the massively up-sized brewhouse with open floor space for a huge yoga group. You can see room for expansion, and the ability to host food trucks. You can see an increased staff, who are extremely helpful and happy to be a part of this transformation.
I'm so proud of what Lenny Boy has done, and I'll continue to support it to make sure they keep on doing it.
