  • I went to Amber's Pet Depot in Mississauga where I was treated like a BOTHERSOME second class customer. I bought the Dealticker deal where (in at least three places) it said it could go towards food, as well as calling the store AND writing on the discussion to ask if it included everything in the store (referring to dog food), all inquiries were answered with YES, it did count towards dog food. I went in & pick out a bone and 2 toys to go with the bag of dog food. The guy said deal doesn't count towards food, I tell him I called the store, read the deal carefully and confirmed with Dealticker that it DID count towards dog food. He went off on me and some other voucher holders in the store saying that it didn't count on food at ALL, the deal was worded wrong, it wasn't on sale items (all food was 5% off for their opening) and they can't give it away, and basically to screw off. I asked when the food wasn't on sale, and when I was using $40 towards a $60 bag of food it wouldn't be free, if I could use it then and he made a *pfft* noise and dismissed me completely. I left & went to Global Pet Foods to buy my dog food (where they value my business). If Amber's Pet Depot was using this deal to attract new customers, they just lost a bunch by treating us like crap for trying to use the deal we bought in good faith. I wasn't trying to take advantage, I was more than happy to pay the extra $20 plus tax over the voucher plus another $17 in treats/toys but was attacked like I was doing something wrong. Needless to say I'm a little more than disappointed in Dealticker and Amber's Pet Depot. With customer service like this (or lack thereof) - I hope they aren't around for long. I wrote them an email outlining how I was treated & neither Pet Depot store or head office have even acknowledge what happened. An email back from Dealticker confirmed that Amber's Pet Depot lied & said they replied to all inquiries & complaints. Shame on both the store & Pet Depot for scamming people & treating us (& our dogs) like dirt. DO NOT SHOP HERE!
