I like the internet service. It's faster and cheaper than Charter.
That being said: WE STILL HAVE A CABLE IN OUR YARD!!!
When they installed the fiber optic lines in October of 2017, they initially buried the cable. All was good for a week, and then the internet failed across the neighborhood. We were without internet for three full days before they finally fixed it. Their "fix" involved running a cable across our yard from the junction box to our house. They just left the cable laying across the lawn with a big mess of cables at the box attached to the house loosely looped around it. It's ridiculous.
I have contacted them four times about it. The first time, they said they'd send someone right away--they never did. The next time, they told me the cable would have to stay because the ground was "too cold" to bury a cable. Then, I contacted them in March, but was told they would not do anything until May. I contacted them in May and got no response. So, I contacted them again and was told I was "put on a list" and the cable should be buried by the end of June. Meanwhile, I have to mow my yard with this stupid thing laying across the ground. I have to prop it up and out the way each week when I mow. It's a major hassle and an inconvenience I should not have to put up with. Do you think they offered me a few bucks off for my troubles? Of course not!
Hey, if anyone from TDS reads this--GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!
Get this fixed, please. It's horrible.
