  • PROS + Like tart flavors? Mint Mojito & Maracuya. Super bomb. + Patio! + Coffee, espresso, other dessertsalso available + Bathrooms available CONS - Sloooowww service - "Pay first" system causes some confusion When I go to gelato places, I make a beeline for the sour, tart and tangy stuff. I got the MINT MOJITO and the MARACUYA in a medium cup and both flavors were just what I was looking for. Delicious. The Maracuya is made with real passion fruit and there are crushed bits of crunchy passion fruit seeds mixed in. Great texture and just the right balance of tangy and sweet. The mint mojito had a great lime flavor without being too minty. Why only 3 stars? Service here is extremely slow. It took me about 15 minutes to get my cup of gelato. Sure, it's a popular area on a busy street compounded by a warm day, but the system of paying first creates several annoying problems. You get the first-timers who hover around the gelato display trying to figure out how to order. You get the line of people who know what's up snaking all the way to the back trying to pay. You get the people somewhere in between clueless and in-the-know trying to order flavors with the cashier. No. This is how it works: you pay the cashier for however many flavors you THINK you want. Sorry, you're not going to be able to reasonably worm your way into getting some samples before you buy. Once you pay, you choose what flavors you want with the girls doing the actual scooping behind the counter. Sure, you could get some samples then, but the long line of people clutching their receipts behind you make you feel like an asshole for holding everyone up while you sample at whim. You're "allowed" 3 samples but by the time you actually get the attention of a scoop girl, you'll be lucky to even get your actual cup filled lest you look the least bit wishy-washy. The pay-first system, confused people and mild chaos following the payment step cause some assholes to think it's okay to cut in line to get their order filled while you wait your dutiful turn. Really? -_- I did like the gelato I got here though so if you come at a calmer hour (not after dinner on a gorgeous day) then you might be able to avoid the clusterf*ck going on with the line.
