I will visit this place again for a healthy meal and for inspiration in crafting menus at home.
I had a lavender lemonade ($4) that was divine. Cauliflower soup with tahini and a gluten-free bread was lovely ($8). (I was shocked that gluten-free bread could taste so good.) Pumpkin gnocchi fell flat (even more disappointing as it was $19). A sweet potato chai "cheesecake" ($10) was quite tasty. Tab for two before tip: $77.97.
I will be more likely to return to this place for lunch. I was very unimpressed with the gnocchi. I am not so certain vegan entrees can be made tasty for omnivores. --The other stuff, I like, and find worthwhile.
Atmosphere is decidedly casual, with an attached herb store. Makes me think of an Ethiopian restaurant I used to frequent in Los Angeles. Loved that I could eat and buy spices and things for cooking...
Service is friendly...someone came out to help us find the restaurant...it is deeper within the shopping area (apparently used to occupy a shop on the outer perimeter). I was impressed that they would do that.
