| - Two stars instead of one because they do have convenient hours. Of course, hours don't matter if you receive poor care. This operation is set up to do one thing - generate lots of cash for Dr. Espinoza - who while a reasonably competent dentist - hires people to sell, sell, sell. They love insurance alright - and your cash. I've had root canals, crowns, cleanings and very expensive cosmetic dentistry. The cosmetic work was very pretty and reasonably priced. Took too many visits, was unnecessarily painful because Dr Espinoza has no idea how to use a needle without blaming his patients for his poor technique. Nitrous oxide tanks rarely work, or aren't filled, or your particular tech isn't trained to use it, etc. Sedation dentistry? Go ahead. The next day you'll learn you agreed to all new veneers and they got started yesterday while you were in the chair. This is a volume business. My crowns always came off causing me another appointment - usually an emergency - just because the dentist failed to use a stronger adhesive every darn time he glued it back on. The business model works. Dr. Espinoza is making good money in an area not known for its upwardly mobile demographics.
Another annoyance, Dr Espinoza has a lot of other people doing work he should be supervising. Twice I made an appointment to see Espinoza and was shuffled off to Dr. New Hire. Also, cleanings are not very thorough. They're fast but impersonal and incomplete from a general oral health perspective. Finally, the crowns, bridges, night guards and flippers" - the items manufactured or made,
all seem to be overly fragile. Maybe it's poor quality lab work or maybe something else - but I've already had to replace crowns less than 5
Years old because they chip or crack easily.
A positive? Besides convenient hours, I think Mark Espinoza would direct his staff to really work with someone who desperately needed care but could not afford it. And that counts for a lot.
