| - I dropped my laundry off for the wash and fold service. I should have known it would not be a pleasant experience after speaking to the woman behind the counter. She was pretty rude, but it was towards the end of the day and I know we all get cranky at the end of a workday. I let that slide.
I got a call saying my laundry is ready maybe three hours after I dropped it off, which was great! Again, she was fairly rude over the phone. Again, I let it slide.
I went to pick up my laundry the next day. Again, the woman was pretty rude (i.e. I said, "Thanks, have a great rest of your day!" And she responded with, "Yep."). Whatever, I finally had clean laundry after a 70-hour work week.
Went home and started putting everything away. I noticed a LIVE cockroach in my blankets and towels bag. At this point, after three disappointing conversations, I decided to do nothing. Frustrated I did not have clean towels and blankets, I washed them on my own instead of taking my dog to the park. Sort of ruined my day.
If I could redo those two days, I'd drive further to get my laundry done. Sure, a wash and fold service is a luxury, but I work a lot and have a dog to care for; I do not have a lot of time to do laundry (and my apartment does not have an in-unit washer/dryer). But hey, maybe you all will have a better experience than I did!
