| - Five stars for a car dealer? Yeah, right!
Thats what I thought until I experienced buying a car from John at Goldies. My wife and were shopping Scion's and went to one of those 'no haggle' dealerships off the I-10. Nice salesman but the car was marked way higher than KBB on a pre-owned 2010 XB. I'm okay with dealers making a profit, but that was too high for me.
Found a Scion at Goldie's and the car was priced fairly. Took it for a spin and while driving without a salesman present we decided we would buy it. I've bought several cars in my lifetime from dealerships, auctions, private parties, and Craigslist. Also, I've lived in China for a year and a half so I know how to bargain. That being said, the car was priced so fairly, all pertinent information was given honestly, and the condition was excellent--I couldn't think of anything to negotiate on.
We put some cash down and got financing with a great interest rate. We probably would have been in and out in 45 minutes, but our salesman John was so engaging and fun to converse with. He made clear expectations up front, he didn't employ any sales tactics, and he respected our personal bubble space.
The entire staff was warm and friendly, overall just a great experience. Thanks again to John and his faithful sidekick Adam.
