I can't express how disappointed I am with Penske Automotive Collision.
After being T-boned on 4/30, my car was transported there on 4/31 (at my request, unfortunately). I was assigned Adi (sp?) who until recently had been my only contact at the body shop.
There seemed to be delays from the get go. After a prolonged process of getting an estimate/adjusted. I spoke with Adi and was provided an approximate estimate of a 5-6 week repair. Mind you, communication with Adi has been deplorable at best. In the 7 weeks my car has been at Penske thus far, I have never received an update phone call without having to initiate a phone call myself.
After weekly check in's I was becoming frustrated by the first week of May. I again spoke with Adi and asked if there was any way my car would be done by 5/8. I was told they were working on it and was led to believe that it might happen. 5/8 came and went. A similar conversation occurred the next week with the idea that I might get my car 5/15.
On 5/21, I called and asked to speak with a manager. I was given Calvin's voicemail. I left a message explaining my frustration and Calvin called back late in the day to say that he wanted me to know he got my message and he was looking into my situation. He asked if he could call back the next day and I said that would be fine. The next day was a Friday and after it came and went I called around 5:15PM that evening. I was told he'd call back promptly, which he did. I expressed my disappointment again and rather than offering a 'new completion date' or any solution (eg reimbursement for rental car payment), I was told he would call back Monday with more info.
It's now almost 5 PM on Monday and I have yet to hear from Penske. I left a message almost 5 hours prior expecting a prompt call in return. To no avail.
Needless to say, I'm at my wits end. The lack of communication and unrealistic expectations that have been set have completely soured this bodyshop experience. I would vehemently dissuade any of my friends or family from using Penske Collision for their auto body needs.
Hopefully Penske rectifies this situation immediately.
