  • After reading Kate's review, I had to write something about our experience. It was our first anniversary, and we were excited. I talked my husband into letting us get a classy rental car to take us to dinner so we could enjoy some drinks and not worry about driving home the 30 minutes between the house and the restaurant. Everything was great. The car was the Chrysler 300, perfect for us. The driver was nice and on time. We drank champagne on the way to the restaurant. Had a wonderful dinner. The driver was there to bring us home. We were 10 minutes into our 4th hour, and still have to pay for the full hour. Whatever. We'd had a few drinks, it was fun, so we were fine with that. We got home, were having ourselves another glass of champagne. We were having our romantic moments together in the privacy of our own home, when my cell phone started ringing...it was the driver. He was calling because his boss, Michael (or Mike as Kate referred to him in her blog), said that my debit card had been declined. WHAT? One, this was the same card he used when he charged the $75 deposit and that worked fine. Two, I had PLENTY of money in there. He was only trying to charge it $141. Why wouldn't it work? I looked online. I called my bank. Everything was fine on my end. The driver continued to call us as we were checking on everything. I did not want to give them another card number because I started feeling uncomfortable. After the third time of the driver telling me that Michael said my card was declined, I told him to tell Michael to call us. We would talk to him directly. Ten minutes later, our doorbell rang. The driver was outside. Why wouldn't Michael have called us like we asked? Probably because he was in Las Vegas and a little intoxicated. I sat in the house, in my "anniversary outfit" while my husband gave the credit card and information again. After a few more times, Michael figured out he was putting the expiration in wrong. Once he got that right, the charge went through fine. Sigh. He sent the driver a picture of the confirmed credit card transaction, which he showed my husband...a receipt laid out on a bed sheet in a hotel somewhere in Vegas. Nice. Classy. So, after a wonderful, romantic, and perfect evening as husband and wife, we were too tired after the drama and just went to bed. Enjoyed the car, the driver, and the service, but the aftermath really ended our evening on a sour note. Very disappointing.
