| - Polished Nail Spa and I just celebrated our 18 month anniversary! I'm addicted...it's official. I initially found Polished like many others by reading their Yelp reviews. I was getting married in a week and needed a manicure and pedicure. I was also interested in a gel manicure. I spoke directly with the owner, Michelle, who worked magic to fit me into her schedule. Prior to this I would go to various nail places for subpar pedicures and always felt like I was playing fugal Russian roulette. I was drawn by the "sanitary pedicures" for obvious reasons and because I am a self-proclaimed germaphobe.
As soon as I walked in, I fell in love instantly. Michelle has created a fantastic atmosphere with antique chandeliers and classy metallic paints. She and the other women take great pride in this place, their stations and their work. All the women asked me about myself and my upcoming marriage and were truly interested in getting to know me. The pedicure was just as promised. This salon uses disposable containers for their pedicures. In a typical salon, although the pedicure tubs look as if they are being cleaned, they cannot clean into the drainage systems and therefore expose you to infection. The Polished tubs are heated and filled with rose petals. I had a wonderful pedicure with a honey and sea salt scrub. All of the utensils used were soaking in a sterilizing fluid. Michelle even sprays her files with a sanitizer. I ultimately elected to get a gel manicure and I haven't looked back. My nails look phenomenal every time! In fact, my husband and I often have date nights at the same restaurant and our waitress said, "I have to ask where you get your nails done! They always look so good when you come in!"
Over the past year and a half, I have recommended Polished Nail Spa to so many friends, all of whom have loved it. I even have some Canadian friends that envy my gel/glitter toes so much that they are scheduling appointments for their next trip down. Every person that works at this Salon is fabulous. They all greet me individually at some point during my visit, and I love them all. You will have a great experience with Michelle, Carrie, Sherrie, Kimberly or Lisa.
It is true that this place is so well-loved that it is best to make appointments. I am literally booked for the next several months! I am so thankful to have this little escape in my busy schedule and for the fantastic treatment I receive and the friends I have made at my favorite nail spa!
