| - I was visiting Pittsburgh (I was born & raised here...lived here for 36 years), and 7 of my friends & I decided to try this place.
Our waitress was PHENOMENAL! She went above and beyond her job duties. She was super friendly and very attentive.
I wanted to try a different drink and I had the Blackberry Lemon Drop. It was delicious (and sweet, so if that's not your thing, you may be disappointed). I loved it!
I ordered the meatloaf and it was very good. The veggies that came along with it were also good.
The mashed potatoes were cold. Not lukewarm, but cold. This really was disappointing and if they had been warmer, I probably would have given this place 4 stars instead of 3.
The place was lively and there were a lot of folks hanging out at the bar. It's a very large place; plenty of area for a lot of people.
I did go back & forth on what to give this restaurant overall. 3 or 4. Truthfully, I'd give it 3 1/2, but since I have to choose, I decided on 3 not based on the cold potatoes, but based on how strongly I felt that I would return. When I thought of it that way, I decided a 3 was more appropriate. While nothing was AWFUL, I just think there are better choices in Pittsburgh.
