Our vet found that our dog had a cracked tooth. Shaker Animal Clinic was having a price special on tooth extractions, so I took him there instead of to our vet. But instead of removing tooth #208, as my vet's notes clearly indicated, they removed #108. We didn't realize it until his next checkup, a year later. I called Shaker Animal Clinic and said we were livid, and that we wanted them to pay to for our dog's regular vet to remove the cracked tooth. One of their doctors called and claimed (somehow remembering this particular dog and his procedure after a YEAR had gone by) that she had decided that tooth #208 didn't need removal, AND that it just so happened that #108 DID need removal.
Even if one was to believe this extremely far-fetched explanation, they never contacted us to explain that they disagreed with our vet's findings, let alone that they thought an entirely different tooth needed extraction. Nor did they tell us anything about any of this when we picked up our dog.
I think it's clear to anyone that they made a careless mistake, then made up a story to cover themselves. We accused them of such, and threatened to take legal action unless they paid to have our vet remove tooth #208. They did pay for it. It feels wrong to even give them one star.
