| - I really do not understand this whole macaron hype. Why would I pay $2+ for a baby cookie that's light and flaky? I seriously do not get it...but after trying Nadege, I see why people like macarons.
The macarons here are bursting with flavor. I think 1 is $2.50, and you can get a dozen for $25. Flavors we tried: rose, cotton candy, matcha green tea, salted caramel, chocolate, vanilla, blackberry chocolate(?), pistachio, and mojito. I'm still slowly and surely making my way through my box of macarons, but so far, so good!
The service is so friendly, and I looooooved how the worker there helped me decide which macarons to order. She even gave me a sample of the rose one, and I fell in love..such delicate flavoring. I love the sleek white interior of the place but do wish they had more seating for me to enjoy my macarons.
Also, if you bring some to-go, remember to refrigerate them!
EDIT:
I've tried some flavors (and mistaken others).. and here's my list of flavors from my favorite to least favorite:
- Salted caramel: SOOOOO gooooood..omg. My new favorite macaron flavor.
- Mojito: minty and citrus-y.
- Pistachio: a pleasant surprise. The flavor definitely intensifies as you eat.
- Cotton candy: another pleasant surprise. It was a nice, sweet flavor
- Rose: ...ok this is being repeated so often, but ANOTHER pleasant surprise! I really enjoyed this.
- Cappuccino: very strong
- Vanilla: good, but it was plain, which is why it's so far down the list
- Blackberry chocolate: very strong. I didn't really taste the blackberry...it was more of a dark, rich chocolate.
- Matcha green tea
