  • Will probably buy another BMW just because this shop is THAT good! Absolutely THE place to go if you own a BMW! Had some problems after we purchased a BMW last year from a private seller. I'd done extensive amounts of the research (multiple spreadsheets over months) on used cars and this 325i was THE car. We are young, on a budget, and had one shot to get it right. Shortly after purchasing, we started seeing code errors, having problems driving, etc. Insert more research here- researching became a second job. I thought I'd narrowed down a few possible problems, but I'm no expert. I started calling car places in the area to take it in to get looked at. Well, it has an SMG transmission, which isn't typically installed on a 325i. Every place I called thought I was an idiot didn't know what car model I had. Once those shops realized I wasn't joking, they acted like it was a damn unicorn and didn't want to even see it- telling me to take it to the dealership (the BMW dealership charges +$100/hr to inspect it!!) I found Bavarian Motors right here on Yelp; talk about a miracle! David was able to see us real quick one afternoon to look at our code errors and put in a relay (part.) He told us that the person who sold us the car had reset the codes (shady!!) It did, so we dropped it off in the morning for an actual appointment. Come to find out it could likely be a transmission problem (approx. $6K) but David didn't want to jump straight to that without making sure it wasn't something else. It was THANKFULLY only a leak which was a few hundred instead of a few thousand. David explained every part of the process, our options, and answered all of our questions in ways we could understand. It's SO refreshing to go to a car place that knows what they're doing, is honest, and doesn't try to rip you off. We've had the car for just over a year now and been back a few times for routine services. Always top notch service. Our Corolla is getting up in age and I'm planning to get another BMW just because this shop has an A+ in Skills & Integrity.
