Full disclosure. I'm not a Walmart fan. The west side location is, in my opinion, a dump. Whenever I go there it's busy (and I'm not just talking about Christmas shopping!). If it's not busy, there always seems to be someone wandering out into an aisle and stopping - for no real reason, but blocking all foot traffic. It's a frustrating place.
While they've done a lot to improve the store - adding in food & produce notably - I'd still rather hit a Target or Costco for my needs. It's just crazy in the store, and I'd rather pay a little more to avoid that. Usually, the folks working checkout are very nice, and that's a positive way to end a typically frustrating run through the store.
The second star in the rating is because they carry 5-quart jugs of oil for my car. There are even some car-centric stores that don't do that. At least not the oil I need, which is not uncommon. So, a couple times a year I suck it up and dive into my local Walmart to grab my oil supplies and whatever else I might need while there. Otherwise I avoid it if I can.
