| - Slide the City was extremely unsafe and I had a horrible experience- including being yelled at by an event staff member. It is run by volunteers that are not properly trained and usually local teenagers, the slide is set up haphazardly, paths are not cleared of glass, rocks, etc,, and in the hour I was there I saw 3 serious injuries including a small child being hit by a sliding 300 pound adult causing a serious concussion. Not only was the event staff poor at prepping participants to safely slide, they also were quite rude. One man grabbed my by arm at the base of the slide and yelled at me for "sliding too quickly" yet no one told me how to slide the "proper speed"; a large 40 year old man yelling at a young girl, let alone a customer, is not appropriate in any circumstance in my book. Setting up your own slip n slide and kiddy pool in your backyard would be a safer, cheaper, and immensely more enjoyable experience than going to Slide the City.
