| - I'd never been to Mongolian BBQ on Coventry, so went to lunch with the family, including two little kids. We were a midday, midweek walk-in, but I understand that at times there can be a rather long wait so it's best to call ahead for reservations.
This is a casual restaurant so there is no need to feel like you must dress up. That place has a very laid back atmosphere. The place well lit, multileveled and the focal point is the grill area.
Mongolian BBQ is a buffet, yet not your traditional buffet. After being seated and explained (for me) the concept and how the restaurant works, you place an order for a type of rice or tortilla/wrap, then are shows to the buffet area. The choices consist of wide array of meats, vegetables, sauces and spices. This allows you to create the meal you want. After you select your ingredients, you head the grill area and the "chefs" prepare you meal right in front of you. Once you get back to your table, your server will have brought your rice to the table.
I had no opinion of the quality of the items eaten, as they were stocking the buffet on occasion, the area appeared clean, well kept and at the appropriate room temperature.
Overall a good place for a quick lunch or family meal. I would also say this is not a date place, but more a place to meet friends before starting the evening.
