| - To start, it wasn't clear how seating was going to be arranged. No host came up and sat us, no one even told us it was open seating, which left us wandering their dining floor for a good 7 minutes. Finally when we sat down, we were told to walk back to the entrance to place our food order. Thank you for being informative.
I paid 11 after tax for one burger with NO fries. The Inferno + Fried Egg = $10.xx, the combo of fries and drink were an extra $4.00. Didn't seem too bad however I already bought a beer at their bar thus making my drink useless. My friend had ordered fries so I would just take a couple off him.
For an 11 dollar burger, this was a poorly made sandwich, as if they did not know how to properly assemble a burger. (patty loosely formed, bun not toasted (but somehow stamped with their name). The bun literally felt like it came from the refrigerator. It was also very undersized for an eleven dollar burger, it resembles the size of a Quarter Pounder with Cheese from McDonald's, perhaps just a little more height from my egg and my lettuce/tomato.
The flavors were decent though, it seemed they really tried with their housemade jalapeno mayo, and the patty did have the beefy taste that people look for in a burger. However, just a rock solid bun would kill any joy derived from the highlights of their burger.
Sorry to say, but the fries were pure garbage. For 3.29, they really dropped the ball. Can't really pinpoint what it is, however they do not resemble 'fresh cut' at all.
*One more highlight of this place was the bartender, he was friendly enough to give us the happy hour prices for our drinks after sitting there for quite some time. (2nd Star)*
This is my first time eating at I Love Burgers, and surely, it will be my last.
