| - Two movies for $9? Ummm...yes please! I'm a little embarrassed to say that this was my very first time at a drive-in movie. Yes, yes, I knooooow. Being the huge movie buff I am, I should have been going to the drive-in all my life. It could have something to do with the fact that I fall asleep after 11pm....all the time. I may have drifted off a bit in the second movie but I got it together and finished with flying colors.
I understand some of the complaints, but on the other hand, I don't understand at all. So you can't bring in outside food or drink anymore, big deal. That's true of any theatre, ever. Maybe since I hadn't experienced Autorama when bringing coolers was a thing, that it doesn't make sense to get your panties in a bunch about it.
Now, the dog thing is completely ok with me. Who wants a dog barking and the possibility of stepping in crap all night? Yea, yea, your dog is so well behaved and you ALWAYS pick up after it...sure. Even if that's true, not everyone has a quiet dog or carries plastic baggies everywhere. I want my movie to be bark and poo free, thank you. As for the trains and traffic, turn up your radios people!
I have to say this was an awesome experience for me. We folded down the seats in my boyfriends VW rabbit and threw in all the pillows and blankets we could find. It was so GD comfy. The first movie we watched through the back window which was nice since you couldn't hear the trains at all. However I'm pretty small, so I had to sit straight up the whole time to avoid the windshield wiper nub. We opened the back for the second movie and still heard it even with the trains. Plus it was so much better to lay down. Drive-ins are a dying breed. Quit your whining and take this great place for what it is!
