  • We usually go to Arrowhead Ranch Animal Hospital but we wanted to get our cat spayed as soon as possible so we could start introducing her to the other cats in the house and unfortunately they didn't have anything until March but their sister hospital at Norterra was able to get us in within a week. The process of getting our kitty in was easy and everyone was super kind and friendly. They called me as soon as my kitty woke up to find a time I could take her home. When I can back is where my experience went down hill. I walked in and there was only one person up front so I told her I was picking up my kitty. I must've been inconveniencing her cause I was told to hold on and she would be with me shortly. When another person finally came up front they then tended to the person who walked in after me first. I was finally helped by the original lady I talked to and to my understanding it was the end of her shift. I told her I needed a payment plan. When another lady came up and saw her in the process they snickered about how "lucky" she was to have to do a payment plan right before she had to go home. Another lady approached and said she heard the "magic words" (payment plan). Apparently it was a huge inconvenience for them to do a payment plan which is ironic considering they charge a lot more for a spay and neuter than other places just to be laughed at in front of your face for needing a payment plan. Scottsdale Spay and Neuter will spay or neuter your cat or dog for less than $100 while Norterra will charge you upwards of $200-$300. To top it all off, when I arrived home with my kitty, they had forgotten to give me the E-collar I paid for. When I called them to notify them of their mistake they offered to drop it off at my house. I was shocked at the offer. I can't remember the name of the lady who brought it to me but she was super apologetic and even took the time to explain how to put it on. Honestly it's her efforts that made the experience at this animal hospital not a complete mistake. P.s. if you see the lady with short blonde hair, I recommend you try to talk to someone else. She is inconvenienced by helping people and would rather be left alone.
