I was beyond disappointed with Rao's during my first visit. When we walked in, the hostess asked "how can I help you??" without looking up from her computer, with a less than friendly tone. During my second visit, the hostess was way better but still not inviting. The first person you see in a restaurant really sets the tone.
First visit- We ordered chicken parmigiana to share. The bartender said it was a big portion and it would be enough to share but it wasn't. $44 for a single portion, that wasn't anything special.
Second visit- We started with the meatballs ($19) and they were delicious! The waitress said they were a must have and I see why! I ordered the lasagna ($32) this time and it was a good size portion and yummy! Also, the bread is amazing! I was afraid I was going to be full before the food came out lol!
