  • I made an appointment to see Dr. Joseph Yu in late November for what I thought was related to my right hip replacement done five years ago by another surgeon... After looking at the X-rays of my right hip and showing them to me, he indicated the right hip replacement was performing adequately and the problem to my pain might be related to my damaged arthritic knees causing bad posture ...after doing X-rays of my knees he found that was the problem....his team was accommodating and they were able to fit me into the surgical schedule before Christmas .....Suzy, Dr. Yu's surgical scheduler guided me through the steps needed for an urgent surgery to be performed four weeks from the day she called me...Insurance was handled without a fuss.....Surgery went smoothly and when I woke up I didn't have that miserable pain usually associated with major joint surgery......and I have had five such surgeries prior to the one done by Dr. Yu. After surgery while at home Dr. Yu promptly returned my phone call regarding my concerns and he was able to alleviate the problem and medical concern I had with that phone call....in about three months I will have Dr. Yu replace my left knee....
