Have played this course a number of times, most recently on 12/4/17. My third round here this year, and I deliberately bought my Arcis card here so I could get free rounds.
This is a good course. The Arnold Palmer layout is very well conceived. There are some hard holes, and a poorly hit shot will get penalized. A number of bunkers, and the greens are challenging. I have not had any issues with any staff this round or in the past.
No the course isn't in pristine condition: the greens were a little slow but that it typical this time of the year. Our cart was old and acted like it. Yes there were dead grass patches in places. Bunkers were ok. For those who complain about such things (in the other reviews), that is golf in Phoenix in late fall early winter, if you don't want to pay $70+ a round. I've played much worse and paid more.
We finished in 4 hours: would have liked to play faster but again...that is golf in Phoenix this time of year.
If you want pristine conditions go place TPC ($89). If you want fast golf, play in July.
This is a good course which I enjoy. It is a reasonable value for the money, and I will return
