rev:text	I've been to Mert's twice. It looks fun and interesting, and I've heard good things about it...but I have to say that both of my experiences were lackluster. My biggest problem was the service. We got the same waitress both times (lucky us). She was surly and very uninterested in doing her job. Both times it took a VERY long time for her to even come to the table. I would understand if she was busy, but there was no "Hi, how are you?" or "Sorry for the wait" or anything. Just "Are you ready to order?" without even a smile. Our server also forgot to bring a salad we had ordered. When the main dishes were dropped off, she dropped it quickly and didn't offer to refill our drinks or ask if we needed anything else. We had to ask another server for the salad. We only got a refill on our drinks when she dropped off the check, since she definitely didn't come to check on us during the meal at all. Honestly some of the worst service I've ever received ANYWHERE. My husband and I are pretty patient people, but this was ridiculous. Since it happened twice with her, I have to assume she's normally like that. Anyway, the food was fine. Those saying it's the best cornbread ever really need to try more cornbread, especially something homemade. It was okay. Fried chicken, chicken tenders, and salmon cakes were also okay. Nothing to write home about, so I doubt I'll be giving Mert's a third chance. With "just decent" food and lousy service, it's not worth it.
