| - If it was available for me to give this business a 0, I would because this is what it deserves. I live in this area and thought it would be convenient. I took the time to make an appointment 5 days in advance. The girl on the phone sounded friendly enough. No extra information. I often take my young daughter with me because if I like the job, I will also have her hair done. When I got to the Phoenix branch, I walked into, not a lobby, but a shop, a room of hair products with customers and employees walking around in black aprons carrying clipboards. No greeting from anyone as I passed a handful. I wandered into another room and saw a much larger room with a row of chairs and people getting their hair done. As I'm standing there, being passed by one hairstylist after another, still no greeting, no eye contact, no smiles. I finally go back to the first room and stand in line to ask questions. Finally, a second woman goes behind the counter and it's my turn to be helped. I tell her I have an appointment. She asked about my daughter and informs me that they have a policy about minors. She asked if anyone will be available to watch her. I said, no. I add that my husband will be meeting me, but not for another half hour or so. She again repeats their policy. I think about telling her that I was not told of this policy when I made this appointment and how I took the time out of my day to make this appointment, but I can hear the retort..."we didn't know, blah, blah, blah" and we would go in circles. As I'm looking at her, I'm thinking, why hasn't she asked if I wanted to reschedule, and more importantly, why has she not apologized even once? She repeats herself about the policy, and I look at her, disgusted at her poor, inadequate customer service skills. I tell her to scratch out the appointment and walk off. This business acts as if it doesn't need your business, so I choose not to give it. I would rather pay an extra $10 to $15 somewhere else and get better service. There is power in money! Spend it in places that will make you feel good about being there, not in places where they do not attempt to remedy a problem. This shows they don't care.
