I've dined at their Beverly Hills location before and had fond memories. Unfortunately, my experience here paled very much in comparison.
I went here for weekend brunch around noon. Make sure you have a reservation--it'll really speed things up. We ended up waiting 1 hour (when they gave us an estimate of 35 minutes). It is located right next to the Venetian lobby, so don't park at the Palazzo unless you want to walk a lot. LOL, I made a lot of stupid mistakes, so don't be me.
As we got seated, the waiter asked us what we wanted to drink without handing us any drinks menu. If I had known that a small mimosa was $12.50 each, I don't think I would've ordered it. It was very heavy on the champagne, so at least you're getting your money's worth...I guess?
They gave us a loaf of bread and butter/orange preserves on the side. This makes me sound super plebe, but I actually really enjoyed the butter. My boyfriend ordered the eggs benedict; I ordered the french toast. The benedict was well seasoned and tasty. I appreciated that there was also a side salad since I've been to other restaurants that literally just give you two english muffins and nothing else. But my french toast was way too cloyingly sweet. There was nothing on my plate to break up the monotony of sweetness. I wish the toast also had some other textural component like the outside being crispy and inside being custardy/soft; it was just......a custardy piece of bread. I always finish my food, but I could not finish my food. Sad.
I was just not very pleased by the service or food today. Nobody asked how we were doing. It took them forever to take our order. It's really unfortunate because I had such a good time at the Beverly Hills location, and now I'm not really sure what the Bouchon standard is.
