If you come all the way to Toronto, I suppose you have to visit the CN Tower...so we did.
And I'm glad even though the 40 +12 CAD for the skypod/per person elevator ride is rather hefty.
TIP - you can go to the CN Tower website and purchase your tickets at a small discount if you do so 24 hours prior to visiting.
We lucked out when we visited and not only had no waiting to get on the elevator, we rode up without other tourists.
The ride itself is pretty short; less than a minute with spectacular views of the city and water. It really was breathtaking! The elevator operator was quite informative as well, pointing out different attractions and areas around Toronto.
Once you arrive at the glass floor level, there are huge windows to enjoy the views and sections of the floor are glass that you can walk, lay or sit on if you aren't totally freaked out by seeing some 1,100 feet below you! You can even go outside, weather permitting.
From this level you take a separate elevator to the skypod level with more amazing views to see from even higher up!
All in all, it's not something I would rush out to do again, but I'm happy for the experience.
