| - If you are the many people out there who enjoys taking photos and posting them on Instagram, well this is your place!
If you are the person who enjoys good coffee, or a good cup of tea along with lovely music in the background, by all means move on to somewhere else!
The retro decor and it's unique decorations throughout the cafe speaks far louder than anything else Osmo Cafe has to offer.
Osmo Cafe is tucked in and hard to find new cafe, to which I think many simply want to go to investigate what it's all about. I was one of them! Was I ever disappointed!
Upon our arrival at 4:00pm(They closed at 6pm) on a Friday afternoon, I noticed the place was not overly busy. Strange! Then came this very loud somewhat heavy music in the background. At a cafe?!? While the cafe is situated near by a university where many would prefer to read, study, or simply relax. I suppose the loud music simply won't let you do that. How unfortunate!
When approaching the counter( As a non-coffee) drinker, that's right I do not like coffee. Yet, I still try coffee places all around the city of Montreal.
I requested a hot chocolate, "Sorry we don't make hot chocolate!" I'm sorry, what? My obvious question was, when will you begin to make them "We don't know" Anywho, I chose a tea from one of their four varieties, to which the employee knew nothing about them! Nothing! I asked for information since I was unfamiliar with the brand of tea. The tea was just "OK" Nothing better than your ordinary grocery store Lipton.
On social media they often promoted their pastries(Hof Kelsten! YAY!) and their salads. Again at 4pm, only one pastry left and no salads were available. I can understand the salads, but the pastries?!
As previously mentioned, the chairs, are unique both in design and colors. Yet it lacks a great deal of comfort!
My suggestion is you simply stop by to take a look at it and snap some photos on Instagram, if you're into that. Otherwise, do pick another place to go.
Don't plan to go there on the weekends, they are closed! Only open on the weekdays for now.
