Appalling service in ER, bordering on gross negligence.
My wife was in acute pain due to a large kidney stone , and her Primary Care Physician sent us to the ER so she could have a procedure to remove it -- he was crystal clear about it being too large to pass on its own. It took hours for the doctor in charge of ER to tell us that the urologist on call determined that my wife just needed a pain killer and a prostate (?!) drug to relax her urinary tract and pass the stone on its own. The urologist never set foot in the ER or even deigned to speak to my wife! And no one paid any attention to the CAT scan results I kept trying to give them.
She was discharged exactly as she checked in: in excruciating pain; the only difference was that my wallet was hundreds of dollars lighter. When we spoke again to her PCP he was outraged and sent us to another ER, this time at John C Lincoln in Deer Valley. The difference was as night and day. And everyone there told us that there was no way that she could pass a stone that size on its own.
If you have a say in the matter, stay away from this ER!
