  • I would love to give this dog park a 5 star rating but unfortunately I feel as if I cant. I have been bringing dogs to this dog park for over 2 years and have always had awesome experiences. It's well maintained and there is a lot of room with different types of terrain for your dog(s) to play on. They have buckets for dogs to drink water out of and plenty of shaded benches and picnic tables. Don't get me wrong, I love bringing my dog here, but this past fall nearly every time I come to the dog park there is a horrible fight between what seems to normally be an owners dog that is ON A LEASH and aggressive. I understand that everyone wants to believe that their dog is friendly and sociable but unfortunately that is not always a fact. I have noticed an excessive amount of owners bringing their dogs on a leash that are clearly aggressive and dislike other dogs. I have seen an excessive amount of bloody fights break out between dogs because of people's denial about having an aggressive dog. In the past month I have noticed this trend of people wanting to bring in their aggressive dogs thinking if they are on a leash they will behave. This is an OFF THE LEASH dog park and I wish there was more regulation by the park ranger on dealing with these dog fights and aggressive dogs. It seems like this issue has become worse because when I first started coming to the park in 2013 there was rarely a dog fight and most everyone had a good handle on their dog. Other than that, this is a great dog park and I hope it does not get ruined by people who cannot come to terms with the fact they have an unsociable dog.
