  • Just got home from a delicious meal at Caffe Daniel. My wife and I arrived early on Friday so not too many customers and it allowed Daniel to come over and introduce himself and talk to us about the restaurant, the food and life in general. We started with the Burrata appetizer which was 1st rate, As someone else said, the burrata melts in your mouth and the combo of the pesto, fresh tomatoes and warm bread is a winner. My wife ordered the airline chicken which was hot, juicy, flavorful and accompamied by veggies and roasted potatoes which were all fresh and well cooked. I had the lasagna which was served in a crock and was sizzling from the woodfired oven. I had to wait a few minutes to let it cool down but it was one of the best pasta dishes that I have enjoyed. The beschamel sauce and quality meats really add to the flavor. We finished our meal with the dulce de leche crepes which are not to be missed. Our server was Nicole, she was attentive,friendly, and efficient. We live in the neighborhood and expect to return soon.
