  • I saw this on Instagram about six months back and ever since have been dying to check it out, but just never happened to be in the area until a couple of days ago. Since I didn't know when the next time I'll be back, I decided to get everything I wanted and hoped that it would taste good together. I ordered the egg waffle, with Lap Cheong (Chinese sausage) and seaweed, in a Kinakozuki parfait, which is green tea ice cream at the top, vanilla ice cream at the bottom topped with matcha sauce, red bean paste, rice pops(??) and some matcha powder(??). The sausage mixed in with the waffle was all right, it didn't taste incredible like I was expecting it to and I really couldn't taste the seaweed. One of my friends ordered the salt and pepper egg waffle and it tasted like scrambled eggs you would have at breakfast. But once again, it's all right ... I would probably just get a regular egg waffle next time, the special ingredients aren't really for me. The ice cream was amazing though. It wasn't too sweet and too runny like most of the soft serves I've had in the past. They managed to capture the matcha flavour extremely well. I was lucky to be the only customer while ordering so I didn't have to wait too long. It was still around a ten minutes wait due to the preparation time of making a waffle fresh and the cooling time required before placing it in the ice cream. Overall, I'd say woofles lived up to the hype. It's a bit expensive, but in my opinion, the service, taste and presentation of the food justifies it. Would I ever drive out of my way to get woofles? Probably not. But I definitely would recommend this to people who haven't tried it yet or are around the area.
