Still loving this place. This time, we brought relatives from Hawaii who just arrived on the red-eye, so we skated right in on an early Sunday morning. Jamms delivered as usual, hot pots of strawberry-coconut bread (flavor of the week), with multiple refills of good hot coffee. We appreciate a good cup of coffee--nothing pretentious, just a decent complement to the food. Again, the breakfast selections are varied and it does take time to settle on something from the menu. Orders included the grilled corned beef hash & eggs, which was savory with a nice crunchy exterior; the iconic Joe's Omelet with fresh spinach and plenty of beef and mushrooms; fluffy pancakes and eggs cooked exactly as requested.
Our visitors were happy with being brought to this local spot to have a very satisfying breakfast.
By the time we left, there was a line of people waiting to get in. The usual Sunday morning scene. But it's worth the wait.
