I called Second City to change/transfer tickets my friend and I had for a specific date in January to another date. Unfortunately, my friend couldn't make the date because she got very ill the day of. When I called the first time, the person I was speaking to was really nice, and let me know that he would transfer my tickets with no problem, and to call back when my friend and I decided on another date. I called back and got Edward on the phone, I believe he said he was the supervisor. First, he told me that he couldn't transfer the tickets because it was passed 3:00 pm when I called, and the show was later on in the day at 8:00 pm. I explained the situation, and how I called before, and he said he'd make an exception. Next, he goes into how I have to pay an extra $5 per ticket if I want to transfer the tickets, I explained how I've never heard of this, and he said it was the policy. After, he asked for my credit card number, (note I'm weary about giving my credit info by phone), so I ask him "You need my credit card number?" He responds, "ugggg yahhhh" (in a very sassy tone). After, things went okay, I was able to transfer my tickets for another day though I had to pay the extra fee. Throughout the phone call he seemed detached from the whole thing.
Things to Note:
If you need to transfer/change tickets on the day of the original show date call before 3:00 pm
To transfer/change tickets for another date there is a fee of $5 per ticket to change/transfer tickets
After you transfer/change your tickets once, you can't do it again (what I was told)
Note for Second City: Please, if you can, put the above information on your website for customers. If it is already, please make it more visible or easier to find.
Again, this is not a review on any of the shows/performances rather a review on their customer service.
