I love the coffee and the breakfast sandwiches from Dunkin Donuts don't get me wrong but one of the employees at this location was really off putting hence this less than stellar review.
To start with the positives, the employee that took our order was fantastic. He was really friendly and seemed like he took good customer service very seriously. It was above and beyond the usual level of professional friendliness at a food service place and we really appreciated that. I made sure to make note of his name and it was Wesley.
I had ordered a breakfast sandwich and hash browns and I wanted ketchup. I reached into the bag, didn't feel ketchup after digging around for a little (I hadn't asked for it), and went up to Wesley to ask for a couple packets of ketchup. He went to go get it and then one of the other employees yells (not says, yells), "Is he asking for ketchup?!? It's at the bottom of the bag!" I apologized to Wesley cause I guess I missed it and went back to my table embarrassed because she yelled it and brought attention to my little mistake.
What made matters worse was her turn at the register. When we were eating a guy came in and was trying to make an order. I don't know what he ordered but I could hear her talking to this guy like he was an idiot for ordering whatever he was ordering. I remember her specifically saying, "Are you serious?!?!" to him after he had ordered something. The poor guy wasn't even being belligerent in any way. He was sheepish and embarrassed looking. No matter what the guy ordered, unusual or not, customer service employees do not talk to customers like they are stupid. ESPECIALLY the ones that aren't being rude or causing a scene. I don't know what was up with that lady but she needs some customer service practice. Maybe she could take some lessons from Wesley.
Would have given this location a 1-star, but I'm giving an extra start for the employee that did do his job well.
