| - The idea of floating has been around for 60+ years, although it seems to have only risen to popularity in the last decade or so (at least that's when I started hearing about it). There is actual science behind the whole thing, so it isn't just some crazy hippie shit (although I must admit, most crazy hippie shit has science behind it, and I'm totally into it). That being said, I don't really know how I feel about dropping $50 each time. I loved my first visit, but I don't feel I can truly evaluate the effectiveness after one float. I signed up to go at least twice a month, and I figure after a couple more, I should know if I am seeing the benefits claimed by others, and science, or if I should put my money elsewhere.
As for this particular location, I couldn't possibly dream of a better place to have my first float. The staff were very calming, and that really sets the tone more than anything. The float rooms and tubs were spotless. The showers had good water pressure and warmed quickly. The oasis room was very relaxing. There is a sweet little oxygen bar, a journal people can add their thoughts and stories too, Himalayan salt lamps, water, tea, comfy chairs, pretty art, etc. I really loved the environment. It was great talking to one of the girls who works there, and hearing her feedback. I really look forward to going again, and hope to see some of the great results!
