Although I have no complaints about the products at this store - I find what I need at prices I can't complain about - I can't believe the unprofessionalism of the cashiers. Lots are young women, and they chat loudly with each other, about silly irrelevant stuff, even while serving customers. They sometimes talk less loudly with another staff member right nearby about WORK stuff! I feel like I won the lottery if I'm greeted with a sincere smile and a bit of interest. Some of the older staff area also apathetic and indifferent. Where is the training? Why aren't these staff trained and expected to treat customers with respect and professionalism, with interest and warmth? Are the staff at Loblaws simply paid more or are they trained better? I wish I knew...
