  • Returned with an appointment on a day the owner wasn't there. Totally different experience. Wanted a mani & pedi & was told I could only get a mani because not enough time for both before they closed. My appointment was for 6:30 & they close at 8pm. At 7:05 I watched a technician finish a client & just sit on her iPhone for 1/2 hour, then clean her station. She was still there when I left at 7:38. My first visit the owner booked me for a mani/pedi at 7:10pm- BOTH. But the bigger issue was the terrible manicure. A younger Anglo woman, said she went to school with the owner, did my mani. 55 minutes for a regular mani is crazy long. Especially when the massage part consists of a 30 second lotion rub. And it did NOT include drying time. It was maddening & it was all I could do to not grab the polish to do it myself. To top it off, it wasn't that she was neat & meticulous. It was a crazy mess that she had to come back with remover & clean up..at the same snail pace. I would have tolerated the slowness but my nails started chipping a couple days after & I paid another salon for a mani 4 days after this one. This salon is pricier than most around & I don't mind paying it but the quality of the service must warrant it. The tech was friendly & pleasant but truly very lacking in skill. It's a very clean & cool salon & a shame the service was so drastically different than the first time. I will attribute it to the owner not being present. The gal at the front never got off her phone & never once watched what anyone was doing. This actually happened several months ago. I was back on yelp & saw the salon name. Having been so impressed on the first visit, with both the young owner, quality of the salon & especially the great mani/pedi, I decided to yelp for the benefit of the owner. As her business may not prosper, unless she's only out one day a week, & she might not get why. Check out the abilities of your hires, closely. Bad service = no return. Lazy & want to get out early or right at closing is not who you want at the front or booking appointments. Service 1 star Salon ambiance 4-5 star
