| - Good lord, this stuff is amazing.
I'm in Atlanta and Cloister Honey is in Charlotte, but we found them at a festival in Stone Mountain. We happened to pass their booth, were offered a sample of the cinnamon whipped honey and it was too good to pass up. That lasted about a week, and then I ordered the Arbol infused honey, and the Ghost Pepper and Chocolate whipped honey from their website. I've since found out that you can buy their products at Alon's or Whole Foods here in town.
Now, I'm well-aware that whipped honey is supposed to be used as a spread and served over a cracker or maybe mixed into coffee, but it's so good that I can eat it plain. Of the whipped honeys Cloister makes that I've tried, it's hard to say which I like best because they're all so good. If I had to pick one, I'd probably choose the Ghost Pepper because I love the mixture of heat and sweet.
Cloister also makes, in addition to "regular" honey, several flavor-infused ones. Of these, I've tried the Arbol, Bourbon and Chipotle. Once again, all were excellent, but if I had to pick one, I'd probably choose the Chipotle as it has some real heat to it. The Bourbon is outstanding, too. I can't stand the liquor, but it has a very nice, smooth and subtle flavor that would go terrific over some good cheese and crackers.
