My husband and I stopped in the Heinz History Center by chance. We had been walking around Pittsburgh on a hot day, and I really needed to rest my feet. At first I thought that the admission price of $15 was a little steep, but the visit was worth it. The museum consists of several floors filled with lots of historical items. I enjoyed learning about the French and Indian War, Lewis and Clark, the Civil War, local professional and amateur athletes, ethnic groups that settled in Pittsburgh decades ago, early products of companies such as Heinz and Westinghouse, etc. I would recommend this museum to Pittsburgh residents and to out-of-towners who need an activity to fill up their schedule.
