I would give lower score if I could.
I had been having problem with left knee for many months, off and on. A few months ago I had an injection in the knee which seemed to help
for two weeks but gradually was getting worse. On 8-22-17, while bowling on my league the pain became worse, when all of a sudden something snapped in my knee. I heard it, felt it, and began to fall. I caught myself on a bench. The pain was intense. I have had 3 kids and am breast cancer survivor after many surgeries. Never had pain like this. It was my left knee so drove to this ER. I limped myself in but a security guard spotted me and got me a wheelchair. God bless him. I waited about 10 minutes when someone wheeled me back to examining room. Eventually an xray was taken. I did not believe it was broken as I had heard the snap. The PA came in and told me it was not broken and that it would need an MRI to see about a tear. I was glad to get this treated as was scheduled to leave the following week for Colorado. I told her that was fine for the MRI when the PA informed me they could not do it there as they did not have the equipment. I have had all kinds of imaging done there and was certain she must not know what equipment they have. When I told her of my experiences with imaging there previously, she told me a doctor had to prescribe an MRI and that she could not prescribe as she is a PA. I told her I would be glad to see their doctor. At that point she told me THEY HAD NO DOCTOR AVAILABLE! Can you believe an ER with NO DOCTOR!?? I was given a pill, which may have been an anti inflammatory. I was given no prescriptions. By this time my knee was as large as a cantaloupe and if anything the pain was worse. They were going to have me walk to my car, but when they saw I could not walk, they used a wheelchair to dump me in my car. The security guard was the most compassionate of any of the health care "professionals" I saw in this facility. The trip to Denver to celebrate my brothers 79th birthday was an effort in futility due to the constant pain in my knee. the pain has been constant and unrelenting. I would have gotten better care from the pharmacist at Osco and saved myself the co pay. I pray this injury was not made worse by the lack of attention from this facility.
